It looks as if YouTube has come to the realization that its userbase is the heart of the company. To encourage and foster more creative content to be uploaded to its online video hosting service, YouTube plans to share revenue with its millions of users. YouTube had previously been against sharing revenue with its users, fearing that it may lead to users uploading videos purely for financial gains. This sudden about face is possibly a reaction to other video services which provide revenue opportunity to its users such as
AdBrite,
Revver and
EefOof
