Now I’m not too sure how serious of an issue this is, but when I logged onto my YSM account I saw in the Alerts window information that I am pretty sure I should not be seeing. The “Opportunity” alerts are supposed to let advertisers know where changes can be made to optimize the account. Usually these optimizations are designed to benefit Yahoo more than anything :)

As you can see in the screenshots, a campaign or account by the name of “Kismet Maternity” is hitting the daily spending limit 26% of the time over the last 30 days. That would normally be useful information, but the problem here is that I don’t have any accounts or campaigns named Kismet Maternity. I manage a PPC account for a software company and it looks like my dashboard is pulling in someone else’s data.

If I try to click on the alert to get more information, the system breaks and I have to re-login.

The data being leaked is not critical, but if Yahoo were to add more sensitive information to their alert system I would definitely not feel comfortable that other advertisers may see this data. The screenshots were from back in May, I just never got a chance to write about it until now. Anyone else experience this glitch?
