Where Are The Google Ads?
making money June 11th, 2007Regular readers may have noticed that I have removed the Google AdSense ads from my blog. While I did remove some Google Ads from my blog, I didn’t remove them completely. I did some quick tests and decided to pull the ads from the main blog page but kept them on individual posts. I figure the people who are more likely to click on ads, are those that hit this blog from links to specific posts or from organic search results. With enough traffic, this change would have allowed me to make more money by displaying less ads.
I am happy to report that the Google earnings are enough to cover the monthly hosting bill of this blog. Granted, the monthly fee is not that bad ($4.95) over at Blue Fur.

Glad to hear your breaking even! We are doing pretty well over at Gearfire, but we haven’t gotten our adsense cheque yet. I am still trying to cover that $35 cost of my Mint Statistics System. (It was well worth it though.)
(p.s. for some reason my Autofill keeps putting my full name into the mail field. Not sure if its my problem, or a problem with your comment box.)

Luckily for me, I don’t have to wait for the blog to make $100 as I just included it as another channel on my adsense account. :)
I don’t think I’ve done anything different with the fields. Perhaps your Google Toolbar or Internet Browser is caching the wrong string for the field and keeps filling in the data into the wrong field?
