» Update on Sedo Earnings

I got an e-mail today inquiring about one of my older posts on domain parking. “Matt” wanted to know if I was still using the domain parking service offered by Sedo and if so, what my earnings details were like. Well, here is an update on how my domain is doing.

When I last posted about my earnings on Sedo, I was averaging about $20 CPM. Here are the figures by month since I started parking my domain on Sedo. The December numbers are a bit off as that was a partial month:

I am not sure if posting all the details is allowed, so I will post just 3 of the metrics. With these numbers, the rest of the details such as clicks, impressions, cost per click can all be calculated :)

Dec: 41.48% / $18 / $8.08
Jan: 45.50% / $20 / $14.80
Feb: 44.57% / $22 / $15.17
Mar: 46.21% / $29 / $19.35

So far in April: 51.46% / $37 / $17.87

As you can see, I’m not about to retire anytime soon by parking my domain but in less than 5 months I have paid off my domain name for five years. So for the next 55 or so months, it will be pure profit. As I have said before, don’t give up on a revenue stream because it is small. $5 in revenue per month is more than $0 per month, especially if you have no replacement for a revenue stream.

After reading this post, you should look to see if you have an unused domain name. If you have domains registered that are not pointing to your own name servers someone else is making money off YOUR domain name.
