I’ve been running a blog visitor poll on the sidebar asking whether or not sponsored posts destroy a blogger’s credibility and it looks like its pretty much split down the middle. Half of you think it does affect credibility, while the other half do not.

Paid posts aren’t going anywhere, and while some blogs vow never to have any paid posts, others are finding that paid posts are turning out to be one of their biggest revenue streams. If you’re looking at making money online through your website or blog, paid posts are definitely something you want to try out. The two big companies offering money for blog posts is ReviewMe and PayPerPost. ReviewMe has a tougher requirement to join, while PayPerPost will accept almost any blog. I would not be surprised if another money for posts network launches this year to compete with these two guys.

You’ll want to be careful if you are looking at building your technorati popularity as some bloggers have found that their accounts have been flagged because they were associated with PayPerPost. Whether or not Technorati hates PayPerPost is all speculation, but if you are going to use PayPerPost, try not to flood your blog with the reviews, remember write for your visitors not to make a quick buck!
