I am sure you have already read on the thousands of blogs reporting on it, but Apple recently announced new pricing for the iPhone. Launched at $599US, it is now available for $399US for the 8GB version. It is quite rare for a company to make such steep price cuts so early into the life of a product that is selling so well. I’m sure some early adopters are quite pissed that their new investment has depreciated so much, so quick and Nokia thinks so too:

Steve Jobs also just announced that early adopters (those that paid the full $599) will now get a $100 in-store credit (Yet another first for a company). I wonder if anyone that bought recently can figure out how to get the $100 in-store credit, AND somehow weasle in a $200 price protection from Apple (valid for 10 days).
