I have been parking my domain at sedo.com since late December of 2006. Prior to parking the domain, it was sitting dormant unused collecting e-dust. Today I opened my inbox to a pleasant surprise. It was a paypal notification that I had received payment for my domain parking. The minimum payout for my Sedo payment is set at $100 and today it hit US$104.44 so I got paid.

The bad news is that the Canadian dollar is still very strong and is affecting all of my internet income, so it works out to roughly $111 CDN.

I have not logged in to check on my Sedo stats in quite some time now as it is pretty much on auto-pilot. This payment is great news because it covers the cost of the domain registration for 5 years, and theres plenty left over. For the next 4 and a bit years, the money that I make will be pure profit as I don’t even need to maintain a webserver to keep the domain profitable.

If you have any unused domains, go park them! Even if you only make a few bucks, its better than $0!
