Getting Paid for Parking Domain at Sedo
making money June 12th, 2007The bad news is that the Canadian dollar is still very strong and is affecting all of my internet income, so it works out to roughly $111 CDN.
I have not logged in to check on my Sedo stats in quite some time now as it is pretty much on auto-pilot. This payment is great news because it covers the cost of the domain registration for 5 years, and theres plenty left over. For the next 4 and a bit years, the money that I make will be pure profit as I don’t even need to maintain a webserver to keep the domain profitable.
If you have any unused domains, go park them! Even if you only make a few bucks, its better than $0!

This sounds like a Sedo sponsored blog. Sedo will pay if they like your traffic and the advertisers actually make money from your traffic. Otherwise if they sense site promotion and irregular traffic patterns or for any other reason, they reserve the right per TOS to renege on paying you, and that’s what they do! Another issue I’ve noticed with Sedo is that they do not collect tax ID information which may be in violation of IRS and US Patriot Act rules.

No, not sponsored by Sedo :) However, I wouldn’t turn it down. Sedo is no different than say Google’s AdSense, or Yahoo’s Publisher Network. If the clicks are consistently low quality, usually because of fraudulent behavior, the publishers get banned from the system.
Break the TOS, get the axe.
