Downtime; Web Server Death
ramblings March 13th, 2007Last week was just not my week because it seemed everything was breaking for me, and I was hoping this week would go nicely. Well, monday was great as my forums experienced the highest single day traffic thanks to the RSX hit-and-run thread that hit Digg’s homepage.
Today, BlueFur who provides my website hosting needs for this blog had a small problem with their web server. The blog was down all morning, but as soon as I e-mailed them about the problem, I got a response within 2 minutes (I’m not kidding) and the server was back online. I have no clue if they were working on other tickets, but wow that felt good!

We monitor our servers 24/7 and as soon as we saw the server down our support staff was working on getting the server back online.
Our staff is working on finding the cause of the issue so that it can be fixed to prevent future downtime.

I can’t ask for anything more as I’m on the cheapest plan but the customer support response time was amongst the best in the business! Congrats :)
