John has a nice piece titled 10 Blogging Mistakes To Avoid and I suggest you head over there to read it if you currently blog, or have plans to start up a brand new blog. If you don’t head over there and read, well, you’ve just made one of the mistakes that are on the list.

The list is interesting to say the least. I am guilty of one of them, and that is #3. I have hit the Publish button before without proof-reading my post and have had to make some quick changes to fix some obvious errors in the post. The tone of John’s post suggests that bloggers who are out to make a quick buck by reposting news from around the web need to wake up and get a dose of reality. You do not make thousands each month by rehashing old news that can be found on other websites.
